About Corridor 99
The insider's publication for the Sea to Sky corridor, from Lions Bay to Pemberton, BC.
Corridor 99 covers the Sea to Sky corridor: Lions Bay, Britannia Beach, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, and the stretch of Highway 99 that ties them together. We report where to eat and drink, what to do outside, what’s on this weekend and what’s happening on the highway and at town hall.
Town papers each cover one town, and tourism sites are paid to say nice things. Corridor 99 covers the whole road and is willing to have an opinion. When a guide recommends somewhere, it says why.
What we publish
- Map guides (The Essentials and Fresh Tracks): dated, mapped lists of places worth the stop, each with a reason it made the list and a “Last checked” date.
- The Sound: news on Highway 99 closures and construction, council decisions, development, housing, business and community.
- Trail Notes: before-you-go guides with access, parking, conditions links and etiquette.
- Weekend Lineup: what’s on along the corridor, every Friday morning.
- First Bite: first looks at new restaurants, cafés and breweries. These are reporting, not scored reviews.
How we work
Every piece carries the byline “Corridor 99 Editor”, which stands for the publication rather than one person. Facts are checked against sources that are listed on each page, places are re-checked before they are published, and corrections are logged in public. Drafts are prepared with AI assistance and edited by a person before publishing. Our ethics and standards page explains exactly how that works.
Corridor 99 is published by Granny Panties Media. The masthead lists who is responsible for what.
Where we work
Corridor 99 is published on the territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and the Líl̓wat Nation.
